My turbo is smaller than ours. lol. Ive been to 19-20 several times making the 450. But I have a set of type-s cams im gonna put in which should be good for making 475 with less boost. But alot of it is in the tune. A good tune will go a long ways. There are several people that have made 500+ and have over 20,000 miles on their Mahle/Eagle setup. It will take me 3 years to get 20,000 miles on this car. The only day I drive it is saturday. Im honestly more worried about the turbo making it than the motor. Hahaha

lol king of destroying shit . Thats how you learn the hard we have all been there . It still has the crower rods in it now right ? it does have alot to do with the tune but if you own a shop and you built somebody a 500hp mahle setup and turned them loose its not going to last . The first 100 degree day boom . In your case you tune and have enough sense not to run it wide open at 500hp on a 100 degree day when the fisrt person at a red light trys to race lol. So yea it has alot to do with the tune and the driver . Does the motor we built in my dads car have around 30,000 miles probably. Do i think it would have made it that far building it for just anyone i doubt it.

Youre right Mike, I think that some people think you can d.d. 500hp at WOT and maxed all day long and except it to last forever.....it doesnt happen like that. Lol. Like you said, I understand temperature and pressure and im constantly datalogging and fine tuning the car. Plus most of the time I drive it at night when its cooler. The rest of the time its parked.
