okay guys.

im building an allmotor 82mm gsr...
I did a 1 layer (middle) HG with copper spray yesterday
Today, I find out the head was resurfaced 7 thousandths... the block was also resurfaced IDK how much.
I'm using pr3 pistons with flat valves (http://honda-tech.com/showthread.php?p=45473618#)...
I wanted around 12:4 comp. Now I think I'm at 12:8.
What do you guys think? I want it to make as much power as possible but I want it to be reliable (http://honda-tech.com/showthread.php?p=45473618#) at 93 octane since it's my DD.

With a 3 layer HG and regular valves comp should be at 11:5.

I'm scared is above and now I have to change the HG. I can always add the other layer but since I copper sprayed it I think I may have to buy a new one.

youre right.

buy a new headgasket, its $50 to know its right. Run the 3 layer and be in the mid to upper 11s and youll be much better off than mid to upper 12s on 93 octane

when can I find an oem headgasket thats 82mm for a gsr? or what if I run the top and bottom layers making it a 2 that I did not use. I should be in the lower 12s correct?

I used factory one on my 82mm and had no issues, also on my 81.5mm.

You can use factory up to 82, just make sure the hg does not hang over the bore. I have used stockers on 81.5 but I think max is 82.

dang guys... i just redid this lol.well i have a brand new 81mm head gasket. but I'm not about to take it apart. for the third time lol.

according to the compression calculator I should be at 11:9 with the 2 layer (top and bottom)

add .3 for the flat valves... and .2 - .3 for the 7 thousandths off the head resurface... should put me anywhere between 12:4 to 12:6 which Morris who will be my tuner said is perfect.
