WTF is a southern baptist ? I didnt even know it was a religion

Its a baptist that sings a dances a lot in church. Most common in black communities from my experience.

I hear it alot from counrty white people. So this isnt a ligit religion ?

Actually a very legit religion. Get down into south Georgia (i.e. Savannah, Coastal Empire Area) and you will see it is more popular than most other versions.

From my experience the message is the same between a Baptist and a Southern Baptist. The difference lies in the way it is celebrated. The black community seems to be far more high energy with the singing and dancing.

To be technical, it was a difference in how the Baptist and Southern Baptist viewed slavery. The irony is that the Southern Baptist original doctrine allowed for slavery while the Northern Baptist disagreed with the practice of slavery. They broke apart naturally due to these differences. Again, the irony of the Southern Baptist is that many of them are black.
