well, I can't keep this dog. i was the one who picked him up. He is a FANTASTIC puppy! My other little dogs couldn't take it. One of the them was fine with him but our smallest one couldn't handle it. He his the BEST pup in the world. I took him to Petsmart 2x in 2 days and he will NOT growl, bark, anything at any other dog. All he wants to do is play. I hope the nest owner will play with him constantly like we did. The only reason I couldn't keep him is b/c of my other dogs. please some1 who will constantly play with him like we did take him in. We only had him for a few days, but we fell lin love with him and it's tough for us to get rid of him.

its cool... i actually got him to bark when i was playin with him.. he really started to open up today and warm up to everyone. he loves it cause my roomates and i have varying schedules... everyone likes playing with him, so he gets lots of play time throughout the day

BUBBAKEL
11-30-2005, 11:03 AM
yeah, he barked a lot with us too. Anthony's dogs were so mean to him, he'd bark when he got frustrated. It was cute, but I wanted to drop kick his maltese for being so mean!!! J/K

rolex has really started to behave badly... he's started tearing all kinds of shit up and started trying to pull food (like our turkey) off the kitchen counter. I'm to the point where i cant trust him when i'm not home. anyone have any advice... i put him in the backyard and he pulled the underground wire for my hot tub out of the ground... along with tearing up all my citronella candles. anyone have advice? my roomates are getting really frustrated with him

1st you need to crate train him 2nd check on doing some obidence training either at petsmart or on your own or through a professional. If he has separation anxiety then he can bcome destructive while your gone. So you should crate him and leave his fav. toy in there with him. If he is doing it while you are home (like when you stop paying him attention) then thats a "behavioral problem". WHENEVER you find that he has done something wrong while you werent giving him attention take him and put him in his crate in the farthest room away from everyone. Dogs are pack animals and when you remove one from the pack and isolate him that is the ULTIMATE scolding. If he's getting destructive with like chewing on shoes then as soon as you catch him with one scold him (pop him or yell really loud to startle him...i personally dont think nothings wrong with spanking your pet but hey to each their own) and hand him one of his toys. Well hopefully that will help some. I've only worked in the vet business for 7 years and been training dogs for about 2 years. So i know a bit if you got anymore questions. O by the way i would recommend doing an obediance class or two with him maybe at the local petsmart or from a trainer.
And for your size of dog you would want an lg to xtra large cage but dont go for giant because it should only be big enoug for the dog to get up and turn around not go shit on one in and then lay on the other. \

thanks for the advice.. i didnt think of the crate... maybe when he gets older and chills out i wont have to crate him.. but that sounds like a good idea. he's not mean at all and always good spirited.. he just always wants to play. he's always chill and not destructive when we are around.. i just feel like when i dont have an eye on him that he will tear something up.

You should actually try reading the post instead of just post at the end. Then you might see all the pics of the dog...And if your going to be all JdM TyTe then try not hitting the shift key when your in all caps.
