Im with bobby when you work a car and then it throws that code its more then likely a vacuum leak or at the very least you turned the motor over with it unplugged . Is the car running fine ? Im sure if the sensor is bad the car would be running like crap . Try reseting the the code and if it still throws the code check for vacuum leaks.

If you guys come out to friday night drags get there early! The close the practice at about 6:30 or 7 then the competition begins. And slicks aren't allowed in the all motor class! You will be in a class with the turbo cars if you run them which you all should be with no problems

I'm guessing you have a 3.73. If I had a stock t-56 tranny w/ 3.73 and stock GTO tire size on my hatch here is how much extra torque I'd need to produce equal pull in each gear:

1st gear: 155%
2nd gear: 145%
3rd gear: 150%
4th gear: 171%

and your car weighs what, 3700 with you in it? if so that is 172% of my car. so let's factor that in and keep going. if my car weighed 3700 and had your gearing it would need this much torque.

1st gear: 268%
2nd gear: 250%
3rd gear: 258%
4th gear: 295%

on a 100 shot I'll put down 250-260 peak torque, but the average torque throughout a gear is probably 220lbs. so let's use conservative numbers and say I don't spray in 1st

1st gear: 268% x 153lbs = 409lbs
2nd gear: 250% x 220lbs = 551lbs
3rd gear: 258% x 220lbs = 568lbs
4th gear: 295% x 220lbs = 649lbs

There is the AVERAGE torque (not peak) you'd need to be putting down in each gear to produce similar acceleration as the hatch on a 100 shot. Sure I didn't factor in mph and rpm and the fact that you might still be in 3rd while I'm in 4th... but gear for gear this is a rough estimate. If we were to line up in each gear and punch it this is about what you'd need to run even.

Of course this is not all scientifically correct but it is the best ricer math I know.
