Competition honda vs toyota

Hey guys, ah I just want to know what honda got out there that can beat or at equal power with a toyota supra. All I drive is honda and am in competition with a friend of mine who just bought him a supra, so how can I now compete with that. LMK Thanks.

We talking nodded or unmodded? Mk2, 3 or 4? Assuming mk4 would say s2k would be the only thing close im bone stock form. How about s2k 2jz to really fuck with him.

Yea, but dont you think the s2k body is too light and too weak for all that 2jz power.
A friend of mine told me that a dart k24 hang with a supra, of course that was street race really could'nt tell who won.
And finally, I know guys that used to drive and some still do drive hondas switch or get a supra. But when it comes to big power Honda dont seem to have a lot to offer without a swap
and if am going to do a swap, I want to keep it all honda motor swaps.

Man people put 2js in everything I wouldn't be surprised to see a golf cart with one. I'm more so a toyota guy but I don't think honda has anything to offer here in the bone stock form outside of the acura line. Maybe look into an early nsx if you've got the baller money. I'm sure that would make him shit too.

Of course I am biased but I would say go K. It won't be quite so easy to equal the power but for a relatively mildly modded Supra you ought to be able to match or better the power to weight. Nitrous is another option as well as a Turbo B series.

But like I said I am biased towards the Ks...

True Supras are BAD FUCKING ASS but aren't most of the 1000whp ones not stock block and since I would assume the OP is talking street cars I doubt that would be a viable power level for the street.

Don't get me wrong the 2jz has huge potential and can easily make power numbers that take a lot of work out of most other platforms but I believe the question was what did Honda have to meet or beat 2j power. To which I answered it would be tough to beat the power but not as difficult to match the power to weight. Well to a relatively mild 2j that is :)

Yeah if you want to beat a BPU Supra... increasing your power to weight ratio is the only way.

Thanks guys for sharing your opinions and ideas. But this supra am talking about is far from stock, he bought it already hooked up and its at lease 500hp. Am just not trying to mod my car or buy any honda to try and beat this kat to me supra is toyota super car and the nsx is honda super car and to get the nsx to even 500hp you might just go buy you a supra for that amount
of money. Maybe I need to do like my boy Louie that uesd to race honda's but now drive his to work, he went and got him a supra too. Three kats I know that when and buy supra's.

I STILL LOVE my HONDA but I'll just build one for the track not for the strip. I'll just take all the mouthing and go about my way, I dont have that amount of money to prove a point that is so far fetch so I'll stick with what I have thanks.

your trying to compare a brand "honda" that was mainly made for economy "civic" vs a turbo-ed from factory "supra". the only honda on top of my mind that actually do some work is the s2k and civic type r.
acura on the other is another branch of "honda" which in my opinion is the more "sporty" brand. "k series, j series"
at top, 1.6L vs a inline 6 turbo, both class isn't comparable

yes we have to swap motor to make some power, but most guys out there cry about jumping from a 1.5L/1.6L to a 1.8 b series - 2.4 k series
stick a 1.5/1.6L in your vehicle and see if it'll even move.

while being modded, the discussion will continue on and on.
you are correct, s2k aren't "that" quick but when a factory 2.0L run 14.5 1/4 mile, isnt too bad. the TT supra from factory only run mid 13s if that.

Type r is a ton better than a swapped Honda if you like curves and that kinda thing. It's almost impossible to truly convert an integra into a type r. It's not just an engine and stickers.

Well yeah but nobody said anything about handling. I meany a Type R isn't necessarily faster than a swapped Honda straight line.
