If u have a 5speed then u need a 5speed ecu, I have never dealt with using the wrong ecu just thought it was common sense. Get the ecu you need, fix CEL, no need to be running around with one

Yea. you need the correct Ecu.
this one seems to be in "limp" mode..
Well, i dont have a 5speed p28 but did use a p06 and had the same issue. Changed injectors, dizzy, iat and still no luck. Changing tb soon to try new tps, maybe that will get me straightned out!

mine did the same thing this weekend at the track,
turned out my TPS was bad. changed it. and perfect again.
Tps didnt work, still cutting out at 3 and bogging. No, its not boosted yet and it has like 10 miles..tops. Not sure if ill have the cash for all plans, thats why i wanted to sell but i think its something electrical, not the motor. Not sure.

didn't you swap it into another car and it ran perfectly? Quit being a jewbag and put an o2 sensor on it
It ran good in jonathans car but never reved it. And I don't have a o2 sensor to put in it,
Got all CEL's fixed and still nothing. Need ideas guys!

d-series.org will be your best friend It appears the Crankshaft Position Sensor (CKP) has gone. This common on Honda distributors with higher mileage. The CKP sensor is unserviceable; therefore, you need to replace the distributor housing. I recommend that you buy a genuine Honda housing and install your old Ignition Control Module (ICM) and coil. Have the ICM tested, because the bouncing tachometer rpm readings can be indicative of a bad control module

I had a the same problem once, found out it was my plug wires arking. Make sure there isn't any moisture where the plugs go.
Swapped dizzys also, still no difference.

like emino said TPS, look for a voltage change as you open and close throttle and something close to 5V at WOT, if u dont see a change thats a problem
