Any place i should stop by, watch out for, how long it will roughly take?
(heard many resposes with this. anywehre from 36hrs to 5days) :blah:

I will be driving by my self and thinking of driving at least 8hrs a day.

This will be my first time driving more than 300 miles..lol. The farthest i've driven is to Florida for vacation.

I will be living there very soon, thanks to my new job offer. I want to save money by driving there, which i calculated gas to be around 200-250$ with my honda fit. (35mpg-40mpg with 4$ gas price)

I just did a alignment on my car yesterday, and will change the air filter (30,000miles on them already) / oil change today.

thanks. and peace out ATL .

If you're only driving 8 hours a day and stopping every night as well as sight seeing, it'll take you about 5 days lol That's how long it took us when we moved from Sacramento to GA. It's a blast though and a great experience (something I think everyone needs to do at least once in their life).

Good luck to have fun!

My g/f got a job offer out there in Los Angeles, and if she decides to take it, we'll be moving sometime this summer. Not looking forward to driving cross country!

Last June my cousin and I drove from Escondido, Ca. (30 mi south of San Diego) to Chattanooga, Tn. in 36 hours. Now this was non-stop, other than gas/food.

We drove North to the 40 and went straight across....nothing really worth stopping and seeing, we were just a few miles from area 51 and saw a tornado cross the interstate in Amarillo, Tx I think...blew over a box truck....but other than that nothing i saw that would be worth driving that far to see
