Yea when we went there was no ice.. AT ALL... We do it on x-mas cause i have no family to spend it with .. I just thought there had to be a few like me who sit around bored on x-mas.... We could meet at the home depot at say noon? That was some could still have a small x-mas ..

The location is the Home Depot up 400 near all the outlet malls ..All you have to do is go 400north till it has no more exits..About 2-4 miles past the last exit there is a home depot on the right...Its the same place we meet for all the mtn runs....

Killboy's Winter Gap Run - December 17-18, 2005!

I've always thought it was kind of odd that all of the car groups were planning events during the middle of the season, when traffic is at it's peak. Let's have some fun during the off-season, when we can have the whole road to ourselves. Sure it's a little harder to get the tires warm, but we get the road to ourselves!

Nothing special planned...no trophies or give-aways, just driving with other like-minded drivers, of ALL CAR TYPES. So get the word out on your forums, and let's have a little fun in the cages. I'll keep you updated on any further developments.

Yes this IS gonna happen ...Me and 3 friends do it every year.. So how about we start out kinda late so everyone has a chance to make it? Hows 1-1:30pm...At the home depot.. ? There is really no way to do the tail in 1 day from home.. I was just gonna do normal mtn run roads..i.e....180...60...ect...

Tail of the dragon starts near the state line between Tennessee and North Carolina, so it's a few hours away. I usually just stick to the roads near the Amicola falls area really late at night.

Ok wait were are NOT doing the tail of the dragon... Its not that far, up 60 to 180..ect.. About 30 min from the hooters we will be meeting at. This is the same roads we have done on all the IA mtn runs i have been on. Very fun curves but not to far out. They are saying its gonna be a sunny day and NO ice!
