Its been a while since Ive been on, but I havent had a car to drive. Once I sold my Sentra of Death 8 months ago, I bought a 03 Jeep Rubicon. The jeep was pretty cool. Did some "off roadin" here and there but I did not utilize enough for what it was ment to be. I then bought a new gsxr 750 to fill the void of not having a car, but it was still not the same...

So last week I went and traded the jeep in for an 08 s2000 CR. Its a blast to drive. This thing feels like you're driving a gokart. As one would expect, its not fast at all. My old beater sentra of death would walk it in a staight line, but most definatly not around a track. Any who, I thought I would explain my absence and post some pictures of it. Also posted a pic of the bike. I couldnt find the pictures of the bike alone, but found one from last month at the track.

PS: Plans for the s2000 are: Hytech header & test pipe, stock exhaust and a Vortech supercharger. All thats coming in about 11months from now though.

really wish you were keeping it NA, but congrats. its a beaut. how noticeably different is the CR than the standard when youre driving it?

I have never driven or ridden in a standard one, so I would'nt know. It is very stiff and low for a factory car though. Also, since there is no sound deadening, its pretty loud inside with road noise, noise from the transmission, diff, squirrels etc..

They wanted 28+taxes&title though after going back an forth with offers for 30min, I jewed them down to 26.9 out the door with a detailed clean&wash aswell as an oilfilter for a 2008 nissan altima (needed to change the oil on the GFs car HAHA). BB for mine is 28.4 so I was pretty happy with the deal.

You bought an awesome car. CR is the best S2K IMO.

your swapping the header,test pipe but your keeping the stock exhaust.why is that?

I'm all old and stuff. I no longer like noise makers or them next door neighbors hoodlum kids messin up my lawn. I have an Akrapovic shorty exhaust on that gixxer. I have left out the baffle for performance reasons and I know for a fact I have lost hearing due to that. Going all out with the bike is one thing. As a DD, dealing with all that racket every hangover morning on the way to work for <10hp is another.


What year/model jeep did you trade?

A nice soft top with all the hinges and brackets and all. First thing I did was put a hard top on it, just remembered I put the soft top in the attic.

Sick s2k :goodjob: did all CRs come with a hardtop tho?From my limited knowledge, all CR's came with an aluminum hardtop (because it has no softtop), the only options were A/C and the stereo.
