Time for a project

Its been a while since I had something to work on, and I think its time to invest in toy. I want to go ahead and make this clear up front, I do not want a Civic, 240sx, or any other car that is common in the "scene" I like cars that are....different. Some of you may know of my old K car that died way too soon...

I'm looking for something quirky and different. I know, my car my choice and all that jazz. I'm just curious to see what people's votes are and hopefully I'll find out about some new cars.

Dodge Omni GLH lol. I had one briefly. Bought it for $600 with a blown headgasket. Replaced it and it would run pretty good. Ugly cars though. Or maybe a Starion? What kinda car are you looking for? Import/4 banger specifically or what?

As for what I'm looking for, I don't really have a specific classification I want. Nothing new, because of previously stated reasons (financing and such). Just something quirky I can toy with as I have the money.

Lol which car looks cool? the Starion or the Omni? I think if someone could find a way to make the Omni AWD it would be a blast. The little 2.2 turbo in it is essentially the same engine that came in Daytona Shelby Z's, Talons, And Eclipses of that generation so it could possibly be done...

The Omni! I love the way it looks. I'm going to do some research on them. I like the Daytona Shelby as well. Hmm... thank you for giving me something to think about.

Welcome man. Its a fun car for sure. I gave mine hell and it kept going. Completely submerged it in mud and a creek, jumped it a solid 15ft easily. It took a beating. But hell i only had $650 in it and i was like 14 so i just used it as a trail car lol.

I looked on Crazedlist.org for one expecting to find like 3. There are a decent amount for sale, which is good if I want to buy one. I can never find K wagons lol.

Of course. Its fun for everyone. That is the only Mitsu motor I knew of, and it is also AWD so why not?

I agree. WWWWAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYY too many mustangs running around the country. I had a 95 Mustang GTS/Cobra Clone with a built 306 and a Kenne Bell on it and i sold it for pretty cheap all because i got tired of having something everybody and their brother had.

Don't get me wrong, I like certain body styles of them, specifically the 64-72 and the new ones.


On another note a buddy of mine has a farm and when I went to play airsoft today I found out they have nearly 20 non-running cars back there. I may end up grabbing one...or three, provided there is a straight and rust free frame. None were super rare or anything, but the one's I picked out were a Datsun 280zx, a Gen2 liftback Celica, and a Dodge Dart.

Lol i've owned quite a bit of muscle. 93-95 RX7's arent cheap lol. Parts for this thing cost me a lot more than american parts did. But mopar will cost you an arm and a leg to get right. But once its right its damn right. I'd get it, Do some sort of newer engine swap into it like a hemi out of the new chargers or something, 6 speed tranny, some sort of custom interior to make it feel newer, and drop it with 18's in the front and 20's in the back. Hugger orange with the black stripe around the back or Black with a white stripe.

If I did, I'd go 440. I think I am going to go with the Datsun though.
