i have heard of stock b20v with a jrsc making 275-300

was wondering if my fully built ls will be capable of this or more

By "fully built", do you complete internals both top and bottom end, bored, possibly sleeved, etc? A built LS(done right) should have no problem seeing 275-300 with some boost. I'd say go turbo though

Yes all forged internals 9:5 pistons about 200 hrs of p&p valves springs cams cam gears whole 9 FULLY BUILT

I was going turbo but I have always wanted to supercharge a DA cause u see them as much as a unicorn

The machinist said with a baby turbo I could make 400 wheel easy just wondering If anyone has seen a built ls w a jrsc and what kind of power it made seing as how stock bottom b20 stock GSR head made around 280

I'd say you should hit 300hp easily, but I've never used a JRSC. I've always heard of people using the JRSC then being upset with there limitations then going turbo.

well i figured it to be more practical since it will be my dd until i get another car..just a weekend play toy to have fun look good and drive but im debating turbo or sc price and performance wise

i'm pretty sure spoolin had a jrsc before he went turbo ask him

if your LS is built then yes you can make 300 or more with a JRSC. albeit i would be worried about intake charge temperatures @ high boost, that is the main downfall to JRSC's. more boost+more heat, LHT performance created some sort of intercooler thing to reduce the intake temps but its pricey.

you wont see 280WHP. Maybe 280 to the flywheel. The jrsc start to become useless after 9psi because of the heat it causes. LHT makes an "intercooler" upgrade but even then ive only seen 3-4 over 280WHP. The best cam combo for a JRSC setup is ITR exhaust cam and a gsr intake cam. Ask vteckidd he had one on a ITR motor. If you want to look deeper into these setups go to honda-tech.com in the forced induction forum and look for the JRSC thread, lots of good info in it.

If you want more than 250whp i would go with a decent turbo kit with a small turbo IMO.

Thank you for the inputs everyone
The more info I get the better

As far as making 280 I'm hoping to break 300 with water meth but 280 is acceptable with no vtec and a good tune

It's just an "ls" right ;)

JRSC is the way to go for a DD. If you want more peak power then go turbo. Turbo lag is a SOB but man those peak numbers are nice. The JRSC torque curve is so nice its hard to go away from it once you feel it come online so early. Yeah the LHT mod will let you take it up to 12 psi. If not, go for 9 - 10 psi w/o LHT.

I was thinking the 12 psi pulley which realistically will make it around 9-11 with water meth....I'm planning on fabricating an "ice chest" kinda like the arc filter intake setup for an evo but with a bypass so it doesn't suck water through the intake
I would only use it at the track for everyday driving it won't be a problem
Again the engine setup is for high boost turbo but since I can't get a dd for a min the jrsc Is gonna be the plan BUT I'm going for a big hp supercharged setup as far as I have seen it's the only fully built supercharged ls in the works

vortech and procharger would be a better option for a "big hp" supercharged setup

Yea let me re-fraise that big hp for a root style Jackson ;)

Hell I might look into a vortec syntrifical system but for that price I could go turbo
