When he's driving or when it's idle? I would hope his RPMs came up as he drives.

so if it always stays at 2,000rpm how does he build speed? or do he just drive slow all the time

Make sure he doesnt have a vacuum leak, or that the air bypass screw hasnt backed out. Did it just start doing this?

yea it just started when we got back from a mountain run. and for sneezin, when he gives it gas it will go up just like normal, but when he presses the clutch in the clutch disengages and the throttle stays around 2 for about 30 seconds then drops

ooo lol, is it throwing any codes?

1) remove your intake piping from the throttle body.
2) look inside the throttle body. you will see 2 holes inside the throttle body. The top hole is for your IACV(idle air control valve). The bottom hole is for your FITV(fast idle thermal valve).
3) with the engine running, place your finger over the IACV hole.
If your idle corrects itself than your IACV is your problem.
or
4) put your finger over the FITV hole. Again, if the idle corrects itself, than the FITV is at fault. It most likely isnt broken, but probably just unthreaded itself due to vibration.

....i dont really know if this applies to your tb but you can try this...

probably a vacuum leak or bad IACV

well he has a skunk2 intake on the wrong car or something. his car is obd2 and the throttle body isnt sapposed to be on there. so his idle air control valve is on his throttle body and not on the back on the intake
