08 civic si question...???

just curious, i just bought a 08 si sedan and was just wondering, cuz this is my first 6 speed transmission car. so like on the highway with the regular 5 gear tranny you can down shift from 5th to 3rd at 70-75 mph, w/ a gsr or whatever of course.
so my ?? is, with the 6 speed tranny's can we still do the same like 6th to 3rd ? or should it just be from 6th to 4th from 70-75 mph?? people who knows can you inform me, just curious..!!

see what mph u reach in every gear. dat will tell u if u can down shift on certain circumstences

1. Get in your car.
2. Go drive somewhere in 3rd gear.
3. Press accelerator until redline.
4. Make mental note of speed at redline.
5. Do not shift into 3rd gear if you are at or anywhere close to that speed.
6. ?????
7. Profit

lol exactly. and just as a note, i never shift from 6-3, always 6-4 just to be on the safe side, if i have to down shift to 3rd it takes half a second more.

i usually dont downshift into a gear unless i have around 2k more rpm to climb so i dont blow my clutch or engine, plus dont forget to rev-match :)

haha. thanks for the tips guys..!! i'll try one day..!! like i said im asking like a noob b/c its my first 6th speed so don't get it twisted like i don't know nothing..!! lol!!
