Hey guys well I wanted to purchase a car and the rx8 seemed like a fun car the only thing is I'm a stranger to rotarys! Are they reliable? Easy to maintain? I have heard that they are and that they aren't
Also I wanna know if they are somewhat quick? I heard they have great handling.
Lmk guys thanks in advanced

Good handling, could use more power. Rotarys are reliable if you drive them reasonably aggressively, and change their oil religiously. Make certain to not ever overheat them, and do not expect good gas mileage.

Hmmm what would a better rwd car for around that price?

What are you wanting to do with it? Drag, autox, track events, mtn runs, shows, or just daily driver? Need to know its main and secondary purposes before answering that.

id say 350z. Quick enough for a DD, and semi practical.

I would get an s2000. You can get them reasonably priced now. They're fun and very dependable.

Easy to work on too.

From other S2k Owners I work with, they dont like them for a daily because they ride rough in the city, and you have to drive the every living piss out of it to get it to move anywhere quickly.

I had a FC 91 RX7 convertible, they were all around a blast to drive, handled great, just lacked on low end power being the non-turbo, they are very reliable, they just naturally burn oil, and arent the best on gas, esp to be a engine that can fit in your lap with ease and 3 moving internal parts, cool thing is though its virtually impossible to over-rev them, and bridgeporting is cheappp and can make some crazy hp

My vote goes to the Track edition Genesis coupe or G35 (or g37, if u wanna splurge a lil). The G35s have a really nice ride quality all around, and make pretty decent power. My only qualm is they felt a lil bit heavy, but that's probly due to the fact that I daily a Honda. As for the Genesis coupe they're just sexy, never driven one, but I dream of it. 6speed, turbo, RWD....what's not to like

I dont know what you have done to your Integra but I can honestly say in no way you would be disappointed with an RX8. The arent the quickest but I dont think they are a slouch either. My friend has one. I have driven it some and thoroughly enjoy it.

A c5 vette would be amazing lol
I been reading a lot about the rx8 and everything seems pretty good other then the mpg which is around 15 to 20.
Yea I know they lack a lil power but what's cooler then a car that's suppose to be driven hard every now and then? Lol
And I have read a lot of good reviews on them.Just aimng for something around 9k to 12k max...
Does anyone know around how long rotary engines last?
