I have a 95 integra with an ls/vtec in it. Its a b18a1 block with an obd2 gsr head on an obd2 gsr transmission. The wiring harness is from an obd2 swap as well.

I can't seem to figure out how to solve my crank sensor issue. The obd2 gsr block had the cpk sensor right on the crank pulley. There is no place to mount the sensor on the obd1 ls block. How does the obd1 ls block read rpm's? All help is appreciated, and if anyone has a type r throttle cable bracket please help me out. Thamnks

I think

There isn't one on obd1 engines The oil pump and lower timing covers are different. So you need the Ckf sensor and a 96+ integra oil pump(99-00 si also). I think the obd1 engines rely solely on the cyp sensor in the distributor.

the only way to fix the problem is to replace the oil pump? I just got the motor timed and in the car. I hate thinking about pulling it all apart again.

And the oil pump on the block is brand new!!!...

Well the older oil pump doesn't have the room or attachments for the sensor. No sensor equals CKF code. Only way to fix it. Note to self you'll also need an obd2 crank gear.

I have the gear. I guess I just need the pump now. This sucks. Good thing I didn't put fluids in yet

Does it matter if I get an ls, gsr, or type r pump?

Wasn't the crank position sensor on OBD1 cars wired into the dizzy or am I thinking about something else?

If you have a 92-95 OBD1 Computer then you don't need that crank sensor on the crank pully.. And the OBD2 Integra harness works in the 92-95 Civic's and Integra's.. Bolt the head on plug the harness in and watch it work..

THATS A FACT!!

P.s.
Only OBD2 honda, and acura's need that crank sensor for the OBD2 computer..

just use a obd1 harness

just use a obd1 harness
Then he has to buy a dizzy, injectors, and alt.. lol.. Everything will work if his parts are good.. My 95 hatch and 95 GSR are OBD2..lol, Both run with OBD2 harness and OBD1 computers.. Plug and Play :)

Reading owns me. I didn't pay attention to what year his car was. Since you are an obd1 car you don't need the CKF sensor at all. But to answer an irrelevant question, all 96+oil pumps are the same. aka a type r oil pump is the same as an Ls above 96.

What reads rpm's if I don't have a ckp sensor or an obd1 dizzy? I need an obd2 pump. I have the sensor from the obd2 gsr block and the obd2 harness. I will just get the obd2 pump and get the obd2 computer when I take the car to get tuned.

Ha can't tune an obd2 computer. Just stick with the obd1 stuff. Obd2 is not what you need. You don't need anything.

Plug and Play man.. Use the Obd1 ecu and go get it tuned.. It's simple!!
