im wanting to lower my car, has anyone tried these out? will these get rid of the wheel gap, or will i need coilovers?
i dont wanna slam my car, i want to have good clearance, less body roll, and around 1-2 finger gap

that combination is alright, its on the softer side of things and bottoms out alot.

I had that combo on my coupe and it was nice and stiff and handle really good . It will give a nice stance also I had some 16's and the front tire tucked a little and the rear was right on the tire had not even a finger gap .

don't be disappointed when the rear wheels are lower than the front. i had no issues with springs, but most will because of that.

For the money I think skunk2 suspension products as a whole are garbage.

I personally have Progress CS-II and the car handles great. $580 shipped. At that price point I don't think there's anything that's close.

As far as I'm concerned there are only a few options for hondas for suspension, cheapest to most expensive:

Koni Srt + Spring/coilover of your choice and rates.
Progress CS-II with rates: 250/350/500+
Koni Yellow + Ground control

I also recommend against springs. Springs will settle unevenly on your car with regard to the natural weight imbalance in your vehicle and bushing condition.

My coilovers for example are .25" higher on the drivers side.

I personally have this setup on my DC and its a pretty smooth non bumpy ride. I actually prefer the softer ride of these vs the other stiff non adjustable dampening full body suspensions that I've experienced for daily driving. Its not as bad as people assume they are and they aren't the best thing ever.

But for the price of the Skunk2 setup, I wouldn't buy it again. You can get something probably much better for the same price if not a little bit more.

If your willing to pay that kind of money. I would actually go with these.

Function/Form are cheaper if you buy them directly from the dealer. They aren't bad.

Even at that price point you could get what I have, progress CS-II.

Made by a company who holds records in SCCA. They do TONS of in house RND, and unlike the Function/form you have multiple options for spring rates. Replacement shocks are like $63 directly from Progress Auto if one blows out of the warranty. If you want to change the spring-rate new springs cost $90 shipped.

Bisimoto uses their products. That should be enough, lol.

They aren't flashy, but they have a solid company with tons of Research and Development and knowledgeable racers working at their facility. They even produce a sway bar with special mounting brackets for 96-00 civics so that you don't need an expensive ASR brace. Been using mine for 3 months and no problems.

yea progress is having a deal with honda-tech. if you type in ht.1002 in the search box it will give you a price for 579 shipped. the shipping price will show up on the final statement but they will not charge you for it. i should receive mines on tuesday. and if your thinking about getting these, you'd better hurry up cause they just got back on stock. it was on back order 2 weeks ago.

i am currently thinking about doing the same thing to my gsr... slight lowering with a smooth ride.

i might go with those form and function coil-overs... or maybe those progres-csII because you guys make em sound so good lol
