I'm starting school there in january. just wandering if anybody on here goes to school there?

I grew up around that area and had a few friends go there. It was like 13th grade for my high school. (West Hall) If you have hope and go somewhere else I would though. Don't live at home if you're a tradional freshman live on your own in a dorm at least. It's way more fun. I lived in Gainesville and went to KSU and just moved to Kennesaw without knowing anybody and I'm glad I did. Just my 2 cents.

I'm currently attending Gainesville right now. It's a community college so there's nothing really special about it, but if you have Hope you basically go to school for free. Actually, with my Pell grant + Hope, the school pays me $1000/semester with the left over grant money. The campus is pretty nice for a community college, but if you're thinking about a community college you should also consider Perimeter since they are basically the same. As 1439/2000 mentioned, it is basically like 13th grade, except you don't have to deal with all the bullshit you experience in high school.

i think im gonna just go there for a year till i can transfer somewhere else. most of the colleges i wanted to go to wouldnt accept me cause i graduated with a techprep diploma. i live about an hour an d15 min. away from gainesville so, im gonna be getting an apartment there.

thats the best way to do it. i transfered to gainesville from a larger school, personally i like it better, course this summer i'll be off to nrth ga. hes right though, there isnt much to do out here so you gotta make your own fun.

Nah i live in oakwood, There is a Gainesville College there too.

No I know that the main campus is in oakwood im not that stupid I just thought they were talking about athens, and plenty to do over 21, because there are 70 + bars in a five mile radius here, no i did not think that.

not to mention there are LOTS of students from the atlanta area at gainesville in oconee. thanks for making me look like an idiot. :goodjob:

The one in oakwood/gainesville does. You just have to pay alittle extra or just a deposit incase your pet chews stuff up.
