To be honest, changing the starting mph isn't going to drastically change the outcome of the run. What it will do is takeaway some of the advantage moseley's hatch has on the start. Meaning he won't instantly pull past your car.

LOL, that's right, I had a 10k rpm motor that lasted 20,000+ miles. I beat the snot out of it as a daily driver hitting 9000+rpm every day. A rod bolt let go on my eagle rods at 9000+rpm while racing a 300+whp 240sx. Not a bad life for a built motor. The next one is getting rods that are better suited for 10,000rpm on a daily grind.

Let's be honest, how many built block k-series motors are running around? Greg's k24 build is just the start. I agree 5 or 15 miles an hour will make no difference in who wins the race he pulled from you the whole time . also what is there to set up unless you changed your gearing in your transmission ? i like your car its a realy nice build but mosely car is faster simple as that . I realy cant beleive he beat you as bad as he did with the power your puttin out. I mean the differnce in two car lengths at the track is going from a 13.5 to a 12.5 thats alot man and with out changing your gearing nothing is going to change so give him credit for setting his car up right its running real good. I will say there is also some h2b coming soon that want be no joke either and there plenty of new resources in the h22 world its no were near played out. I might have to bring out the ole grocery getter for some fun runs .i like this boss talk lol gets me motivated if only the grocery getter was h2b . I think it will hang in there with the ole f20b trany maybe we will see what it wil do against the k2 before i put the new set up together.

On a serious note both of you have very nice set ups, neither one is a dyno queen, but untill you change your tranny or get tunned on the bottle mosely car is way faster man not just a little bit . i read were somebody said the race seemed short ( it did to me to) but he still put car lengths on you thats strong that race was no were close to being a close racer . Ill back mosely on any race you want with him (motor to motor) just buy watching the video. Im not trying to be a dick . I just realy want you to get your car right because it has a nice motor in it. It takes more then the motor to get from point a to point b. Hell the first thing i did was build my 4.9 b16 trany with a gsr fourth and a ls fifth because that will make just as much difference as a high hp motor does. Im sure you will get faster just dont think because you make more power you should have been faster or that it must be the wear yaw started at or something like that as to why his car was faster because its not . I don't have to explain myself, My ass is the one around here making it to the races 99.9% of the time. People doing it with less power are weighing in at 2100 lbs and doing it at prestigious tracks like E-Town where a 10.1 car will instantly run a 9.6...I've actually been there so i know this for a fact. Traction is your weakest link and adding power helps but you can't leave on 30lbs, by 3rd yes by then your 800ft out.. I know the 10.5 guys pull power on them cars but it would be so much hard in FWD which is why IF i wanted a 8-9sec car it would be RWD.. You guys get butt hurt to easy on here.. The boss talk is doing its job then. :)

And I keep trying to tell him this. Changing the starting RPM will take away some of the advantage Moseley had on that run, but it won't change the final outcome. Most of Moseley's pull came in the first second or two of the run. Starting at a higher RPM will take away some of that, but not eliminate it. Still, I'm sure they'll run again to see how things shake down.

C'mon man. I know your car must feel a lot faster when you start in your sweet spot, but here's the thing about the 6speed. It's hard to ever catch it very far out of its sweet spot. The 3rd run probably didn't get posted b/c I couldn't get the camera to focus right on that run and I'm not sure you could really see anything. I think you guys did start at a little higher speed b/c I was trying to tell you at the light that you were starting too low in your RPM range. That, I believe, was conveyed to Moseley who started the next run from a little higher MPH. The outcome was the same though. He nosed up and you never passed him. To be honest, you won't have a chance of passing him unless you guys run up to 130+mph or so.

Do the things I suggested to you and then bring the car back out. ;)

Ive looked at your dyno sheet you dont have a place were you have a 30hp dipp thats magicaly holding you back and if you can just get past it you will win its not there just stating my opion. if you want to beat him buy a 6 speed trany or a lower diff for yours. All nitrous is going to do is lenghten your gears out if it makes you reeve higher so the six speed or the lower diff would be great man. I mean you just got out run in a role race by a car that puts down 30 less hp . You both have the same set ups besides the trany it doesnt take a rocket scientist to figure out what the problem is. Ill tell you what ask pawn shop ceo (who im building the 280hp motor for) how much a difference the trany makes. I tried and tried to get him to get a lower tranny and he wouldnt listen because the t2t4 is a hard to find tranny. I have a bone stock h22 cx hatch full interior untunned it ran 13.6 all day. He a 227hp built h fully tunned with a completely stripped hatch . I mean no interior ,fenders ,bumpers lol he had nothing on the car . He ran 13.6 in that car one time and i would bust his ass on the street in a role race anytime he wanted it . He made 42 more hp then i did and weighed less so you tell me why his car was so slow . It was his gearing makes all the difference in the world. I can remember 8 years ago when all the turbo guys wanted ls tranys and was ahving trouble running tens (steven evans ) with 600hp. Now guys are running 10s (jonathan monopar) with 450hp WITH A B16 TRANNY. Gearing is everything buy a six speed or lower diff and realy see what your car doing. You make 30 more hp you should be able to give him his sweet spot and come around him . Im sure with his 2.0 bottom end that he is reeving the piss out it wich is lengthening his sort gears while you have a longer geared tranny and a 2.4 bottom end so im sure your not making power as high as he is . I could be wrong about that statement but i doubt it . Id like to see his dyno chart and im sure with a smaller stroke he is making peak hp about 500rpms higher then you are . If i can tell all this by reading the little shit on here and watching a video then maybe i know what im talking about just maybe.

I tried and tried to get him to get a lower tranny and he wouldnt listen because the t2t4 is a hard to find tranny. I have a bone stock h22 cx hatch full interior untunned it ran 13.6 all day. He a 227hp built h fully tunned with a completely stripped hatch . I mean no interior ,fenders ,bumpers lol he had nothing on the car . He ran 13.6 in that car one time and i would bust his ass on the street in a role race anytime he wanted it . He made 42 more hp then i did and weighed less so you tell me why his car was so slow . It was his gearing makes all the difference in the world. I can remember 8 years ago when all the turbo guys wanted ls tranys and was ahving trouble running tens (steven evans ) with 600hp. Now guys are running 10s (jonathan monopar) with 450hp WITH A B16 TRANNY. Gearing is everything buy a six speed or lower diff and realy see what your car doing. You make 30 more hp you should be able to give him his sweet spot and come around him . Im sure with his 2.0 bottom end that he is reeving the piss out it wich is lengthening his sort gears while you have a longer geared tranny and a 2.4 bottom end so im sure your not making power as high as he is . I could be wrong about that statement but i doubt it . Id like to see his dyno chart and im sure with a smaller stroke he is making peak hp about 500rpms higher then you are . If i can tell all this by reading the little shit on here and watching a video then maybe i know what im talking about just maybe.

Listen to the sound & the way the motor revs out in the videos that 1civic posted compared to the sound at the end of the video Moseley posted (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ipc4zmVeRGY). Think about the difference in the way the engine sounded then vs. now. ;)

i want you to bring the block by the shop . I just think it was making to much power and running to good to have dropped a sleeve . I would have had the block milled and put it back together and i bet it would have been fine just my opion. Dont worry though we will do it again from a 50 roll where i'm at 6500rpms and i promise u the outcome WILL BE DIFFERENT.
