I ordered a new reman Denso unit from Amazon last week. Was planning to try and tackle this myself but I don't have a breaker bar to use on the last step to set the tension for the belt.

Does anyone know of a reputable shop in Roswell/Alpharetta area that can do this? Also, how much would I be looking to pay for the repair?

use a flat head screw driver, or a ratchet, or a stick to tension

You are making it harder then it is. Its a ten min swap. I wouldn't pay anyone to do it. Like the guy said above me find something else to use as a breaker.

i think it's best to get a modified alternator instead of a new one if the cost is the issue.

when mine went out i just picked one up from a honda junkyard up 85 a lil ways. took a little while to work it in(for some reason it was an itty bit bigger than the bad one). might've taken like 20 30 min to get it in and hooked up? and 50 bucks to buy it. so looking at 50 bucks, half an hour. and a can of coca cola. cause you'll be thirsty

A shop will probably charge you between 60-120 bucks to do it.

Put a tank of gas in my bike and buy me a cold beer and I will do it for you.

like these guys are saying...this is probably the easiest part you can change next to the distributor. find you a breaker bar and take that bitch out! i did mine in and out about 30 mins. please dont let a shop rip you off. or atleast let me rip you off.lol.(jk)

Definitely man... one of the easiest things to change on the car.
Don't let it intimidate you. Just do it! :goodjob:
