so i just got a b18 to swap into my teg, the motor is out of a 93 teg and has 130,000 miles on it. i was wondering what kind of oil i should use, and what kind off engine additives (z-max, mystery oil, etc) i should use to clean up the internals really good and make them last longer.
i pulled the valve cover and there was a little bit of rust on the head internals, it wasnt really serious, most of it was wiped off, but im assuming theres rust in the whole top half of the motor, what would be good to clear it all up? same for oil, i dont plan on running this engine for very long, but i want it to always be a reliable swap ready to run if i ever blow a motor up.
i know the smart thing to do would be to just atleast pull the head and see how bad it is, but im on an EXTREMELY tight budget right now so im depending on autozones mechanic-in-a-bottle wall haha
any suggestions?
