ok so since i drove one i cant get it out of my head.

I went to the dealer here in marietta and im very very very much so considering buying one.

It is an o7 black on black 6 speed with sports package. The dealer is not giving it a CPO for some reason. They are saying because it doesnt have the run flats.... but who cares anyways. I dont buy it.

anyhow its what im willing to pay but..........

Ive read alot about the hpfp going out and thats pretty much the main problem i see with it.

my question is..... are there any 1series guys out there or 335i guys that have had problems or have any suggestions why to and why not to buy one.

I really want the cpo coverage so it might make it a bit harder to find my baby.....

thanks ia

Ask if the dealer will let you test drive it for 24hrs. Then after that make your choice.

335d. problem solved.

Is it at a BMW dealer? Either way, call BMW with the VIN and get the service history.

Common problems, HPFP (extended BMW warranty covers it) Turbo waste gate rattle (extended BMW warranty covers to 82k) Injectors (1000$ repair)and coils (50$'sh each)

Also the intake runners get really gummed up around 50k which leads to crummy idle and decreased performance ($350;sh from an indy shop to clean with a walnut blaster)

That being said… I wouldn't think twice about buying a 335i. Not to many cars will get you into the 450hp range for $2,000 or less in mods, AND be reliable.

Then again, its a BMW. Gotta pay to play :)

How much money do you have? They ain't cheap to maintain. If you have reserves go for it. They are fantastic driver's cars and look good too. Just keep cash on hand for issues.

Never buy a 335 thinking you're going to get a driver's car. If you want a raw driving sensation save for an M3 :v

might be old, but throwing in some useless info
