Hey guys,

I am thinking about buying a 02-05 A4 1.8T.

I know that those cars need a timing belt replacement when they hit around 100K.

I also know that people usually get a new water pump along with new hoses when they do it.

Has any of you guys had it done before? If so, how much did you pay and also where did you have it done?

Thanks in advance!

oops. If a mod could move this to the VW/Audi group that would be nice. Thx

yea actually u may not really want to wait until the 100k mark, i just got mines done at 89000. I recommend u getting the entire kit from Europaparts.com for a good deal, that includes tensioner, water pump with metal impellers and everything else u need besides the coolant. Labor is gonna run u anywhere from $480-$600 depending on where u go. Also fuel pumps and fuel filters need to be changed around that mileage as well.
