So I have been thinking alot about another honda build. I have always said I would never build another honda or ever in my life drive a ef! But I think with this build I will not have to worry about theft or heat from the fuzz thinking a punk ass kid like most modded honda drivers. No this is a completly diffrent build! No stupid hella flush wheels, No stupid colors, Stock springs and shocks. I have decided if i cant find another vx model civic, I am going to build the hybrid honda should have built in the 90s. A few other guys have done this build and are claiming up to 70+ mpg!

dang he must shift at like 2k religiously. i dunno, but that is some awesome mpg's. try and do that with a new car...impossible, even with stinking hybrids. maybe a turbo diesel with get somewhat comparable but myself have never heard of anything past around 45 or so. this guy is claiming 70.. thats motorcycle territory + SOME.

It's going to take you a year to get out of your neighborhood if you're going to actually drive the way you need to for that kind of mileage.

^^ Not true at all The vx motor is almost twice the hp of the hf motor. The secret is keeping in in lean burn mode. In my old vx I could cruse at 75mph on the hwy and stay in lean burn.

Cruising is cruising, we all know that. But it seems like around town people either drive like old korean women or skew the numbers in their favor. Gl with it either way, I got high 30's out of my eg hatch and that was enough to make me happy lol.

I got 46+ mpg driving normal out of my old vx. high 30s < high 40's/low 50's

I'm not saying I do or don't believe you, but that seems pretty unrealistic for combined mileage. I could never get that out of a regular Civic.

The vx is not a regular civic, most people who race/swap/fuck them up think they are. motor week when they tested the vx model new they claim 55mpg combined driving. This car was one of the original hybrids before the lean burn was basicly outlawed in the u.s
