I picked up another ED/EF Civic as a daily driver to replace my Accord and wanted to share some of the build process wih you guys. This will be STRICTLY a dd, with A/c, but will have a little get-up and go. It wil have a freshly rebuilt d16y8 with a JRSC.
Tough as Nails: First thing was to snatch out the worn out blown up d15, auto trans and toughen up the engine bay.

I want this engine bay indestructible and worry free so I layed down 2 coats of Herculiner.

And if anyone would like to give me some suggestions on rims and tires, i'll be installing a set of lowering springs and camber kts.

Got the bearings and rings this week. We are gonna start building it sometime this week. The stage3 clutch and 7lb flywheel is ordered too. We are gonna build a custom air box for the intake that will seal against the hood and inner fender to keep out the hot air.

Its going to be a good dd!! Good luck! What color are you goin to paint the car??
Get some konig wideopen(rpf1s). My brothers ef was sitting on rpf1s and looked real nice, and konigs are inexpensive.

Im kinda stuck on the paint color right now. I was thinkin Jet black. But then again the original tan would look ok freshened up.

I got a good deal waiting on some Circuit 8's, black with a polished lip, but I dont know how that would look. I like the XXR 501's.

that wont make it have the old skool look he is goin for lol. i say leave the outside all stock paint it the same color it was and put the hub caps on it and roll the fuck out haha. nothing better than seeing a complete stock looking car outrunning some noob with a boosted car thats trash talkin ya. and yes joey your boosted but your in no worries lol.

Should be a fun car. I had a JRSC on my white car with the basic pulley, this one has the upgraded pulley. Im pullin the interior to do some cleaning and loose a little weight in some places too.
