any rotoheads on here care to enlighten me?
could be due to the rotary design, all rotary engines ive seen backfire on downshifts.

yeah i know its the rotary for sure just wondering what exactly causes it. i mean, i was watchin the grand am today and flames just spit like 3 feet out. its crazy.

why does it spit fire you ask? my guess is that the flux capacitor is overloading the flexnard scale.... yup i bet thats it

1. Because the straight through design of the rotary. There is no valves to pass thus giving flames a straight shot out the exhaust. 2. Rotary's dump fuel in the chamber to help cool it so it creates a flame. Mine would only do it between shift above 6K, Never noticed it down shifting.

yeah they were mentioning something about dumping fuel but i did catch why they did that. thats interesting, thanks man
