So, Ill start by saying I've built many hondas already, but never actually attempted a complete rewire on my own, but that's what forums are for so.

using my sohc 94 non vtec del sol harness as a base to use for my b16a2 vtec 99-00 civic engine, where do i begin what wires/diagrams do i need?

I have complete del sol harness and complete civic harness. Go!

you'll have to have a certain tool that clamps the wires together. it's really expensive. it's used for aircraft harnesses.

this costs over 2000 dollars.

obviously I can use my original harness I just want to attempt to make a completely seperate harness.

that's for the round plug for the firewall though right? i think i'll avoid that much just looking to do it mildly i'll probably just run the plugs into the inside. this is just a trial run fun spare time fun.

yeah google didn't really help with the correct way to try this.

Personally, I'd leave that amount of work to the people who have already done it and have already made harnesses.

how's this d series and b series harnesses are basically the same after a certain year right? so technically other than lacking the vtec wire i can use my del sol harness for the b16 then chip the p28 ecu to run it correctly this others have been helpful to share so maybe just a diagram to help with wiring for vtec then i'll rewire my original harness

With an EG, you can reuse the factory harness if the motor is equipped with OBD1 sensors, wire in vtec, chip the ecu, and go.

I take it your Del Slo is an S model.

you would be correct in that assumption.
