Ok so I've decided that my 2001 Maxima SE will be my first project car. It seems like a good choice, given the DE-K under the hood and that it isn't beat all to hell. It has an automatic transmission but don't forget, the fastest recorded Maxima was with an automatic tranny! Since its my first project, I don't have a layout of how the project will go but here are some pictures.

So, I'm deciding on what will be the next thing as I have an itch to keep going with this car. So far, I'm working on getting a new intake, and then work on from there. I'm hoping some people can give some input on what are some things that should come next. Since this is also my DD and I use it for my job, it can't be a car that sticks out in a crowd (Don't ask why) so it can't have wild body work and things like that but minor changes are definately welcome. So far, its bone stock. Anyways, thanks for even taking the time to read this stupid little thread, and I'm looking forward to learning a lot through this project and making a nice little sleeper out of it.

No man pedal, no go with me!! But owning a Nissan, I will say up-keep is the biggest thing with these cars. Oil, trans fluid, plugs, air filter, etc etc determine the life of it all. I know, it does with all cars but Nissans seem to be alittle bit more touchy-feely IMO. Just compared to the list of Honda's I've owned in the past.

Next up, warpspeed performance or Cattman Y-pipe & a high flow Cat.. And since u want to keep it somewhat civilized/under the radar, u can add an exhaust electric cutout for even more HP.. Then of course, have it tuned... Greddy E-manage Ultimate or apex-i afc for basic fuel table adjustments
