Whats up IA,
Well the story is i had a 92 civic hatch with a full 99 GSR swap in it. you know your ordinary hatch with the mods and stuff. Well im 17 and got my license suspended so you know parents wasn't to happy and made me sell/trade the hatch. So i found the perfect still JDM/but parent approved car. A 94 acura intera 4door gsr with full type r interior,headers, and tien springs,and h.i.d's lol mostly stock :D:D. So this time im doing it right and not cutting no corners. Please give me your opinions and comments like to know what the word in the streets is lol .

The civic wasn't fast, but you'd think that if his parents made him sell his hatch, then he'd have to get something notoriously slow and unmodifiable. Well he got another GSR. Since that Civic was too much car for him to keep his nose clean, the Integra is probably a bad choice as well. Still wouldn't say it is fast, though.

I never said it was fast, the hatch and his new car are both slow as hell. Reading comprehension, get some.

The teg is still an upgrade though imo, I think you will win out in the end.

bolted on and tuned gsr's are pretty fast to be a 1.8, trust me :)

for 1.8 N/A, i believe they are.... im not comparing them boosted cars, also not here to argue,just my .02 cents..
that hatch was pretty clean, where is the improvement? it has the same motor, and the car is heavier.... not as clean either..

I am assuming that he messed up his hatch, and as a result, got his license taken. If the hatch was beat up, then it is an upgrade to have a good running car.

...to clear the water, because obviously your were initially comparing a gsr to boosted cars. and like i stated before, its in comparison to other n/a 4 cylinders.

The OP is a local in my area and a good guy so that being said I think this is a better outlook on the two cars.

Hatch: It was loud as piss and looked like every other hatch in the area. Cops love anything with a muffler around here. His parents had based his speeding tickets to that car and that car alone. Still living under his parents roof, the hatch had to go.

Teg: 4 Doors. In his parents eyes it looks like something they could daily. How many kids parents know what a B18C1 or JDM ITR interior mean? Not many. They saw 4 doors and that's what the cops will see. As long as he doesn't make this car a target (racing around everywhere, burnout, general stupid driving) the police should leave him alone.

Hatch looked OK and the teg looks better. Advise your friend to keep it clean, and to remember that a good amount of family sedans and suvs are now faster than his gsr. No need to look like an idiot racing around town...
