in need of a new water pump. i researched but everyones telling me to run a gsr or type r pump because of the b20vtec setup. my buddy has a brand new pump with a gates timing belt. would this work on my motor?
if he has a GSR/ITR waterpump and GSR/ITR belt, then yes it will work. remember to replace your tensioner

i wouldn't use anything but oem water pump and timing belt
when ever u doing lsv or b20v u have to use gsr water pump and timing belt
there isnt such thing as in typer oil pump and water pump just lettting you know
nothing wrong with autozone water pump and timing belts, its not like hes making oh so much power to wreak havoc on the trusty autozone goodies

I was gonna say make sure you get the one with the right amount of teeth. The water pump and something else needs to have the right combination of teeth.
