B20B!Ithink?

Alright as of now I have/had a b20b with a Gsr head. It was to slow so I boosted it and while I was getting it tuned it started a slight knock. Crank has been slightly scared so I was considering sending that Bitch to golden eagle getting some sleeves and doing it up. My questions are should I just get a b18 crank? Because I don't plan on revving past 9k but I don't wanna have to worry about the b20 crank because I here bad things. So get a ls crank or just get mine turned? Second thing is if I do get a ls crank should I go with ls rods and 84mm bore pistons? Just need to know the best combination for the b20 block. Im not boosting again unless im sleeved so someone let me know what would be the best combo for this engine. It will be fully.... I mean fully built not pistons and rods I mean sleeves block gaurd all head work possible. I make the money to do so and I just got another vehicle so we are going all out. Oh and its still gonna have a/c power steering and cruise control ha!

use a LS crank, they are essentially the same thing. your fully, fully building it up? find a good builder, because even a bad builder can make a built engine go wrong. PM for any build questions.

Ls and b20 has same crank. You should had sleeved it from the beginning let alone a b20 unsleved can barely hold a vtec head. Go with b16 head, poor man's type r

whoever told you that is retarded. b20 sleeves are actually pretty strong if you stay N/A and keep the bore within the factory 84.X mm standards, provided you also have a good tune thereafter.

look anywhere and everywhere, plenty of high HP N/A b20-vtec/stock sleeve combo's all around the world.

i would just find another good crank. and when you get it sleeved stick with the 84mm, ls and b20 are the same just different bore pretty much.
oh yea once you do get it sleeved you dont need a block guard lol.

Shut up sterling thats extra strength hahaha. I haven't got around to calling golden eagle yet. What about throwing b20 pistons on ls rods turnin the crank and drivin it for now and building a ls on the side? Oh and new acl's and arp rod bolts lol. Thanks guys.

You're all over the place. Set a goal, then ask advice..

agreed with a goal.

it seems you have had numerous problems with the lsv build.

if your crank is in fact scarred, you need an experienced builder who has mind enough to check tolerances, who is experienced and will take their time.

MID sleeves are okay. i would check into seeing if press fit sleeves are available for 84mm. seems you have the proper ideas for components. just the need for a more practiced builder.

please set goals, i believe you would accomplish much more and build some amazing cars.

Why would you throw it back together when you just said you have another car? Punkr6 is right, you are all over the place and have no knowledge of what you are saying in the present and in the past. Didn't you say this was going to be "FULLY" built. So why are you talking about stock pistons and rods?

This will help a lot....... Delete your first post and completely retype it. Think about your goals and your budget, don't come back w/ the "i don't have a budget" either.....

I think this is a good sum-up of what you MIGHT want.....

Sleeved B20 Bottom End (no need for a block guard)
Micropolish B20 Crank
Aftermarket LS/B20 Rods (they are the same to my knowledge)
Aftermarket B20 Pistons (you are sleeved, you can run what bore you want)
Built Vtec Head
Turbo
Done.
