The only thing I can gather about the first pic is all the rust appears to be blood going into a cellar of some type. Almost like someone or several someones were bleeding profusely while being dragged into a dark place. Only problem is snow doesn't rust and that appears to be snow.

EDIT: Now I see what's in the first pic. If you don't see it, keep guessing.
