What year vehicles need no title?

I have a 85' Ford ranger and I am wondering if I need the title to get a tag, I know I don't have to get emissions. I thought it was 25 years and older but I can't remember.

that correct any thing 25 year and older dose not need a title or emissions to get a tag.

Thank, I thought so. I'm about to sell it and the guy lives in Clayco and wanted to know.

It's always easier for a title to be involved in transactions. It only takes about a 2/3 days to get one. Later, QD.

No the cut off day is now 1986 the 25yr rule is gone.
