i have a d15b in my 96 civic the car was running bad i took it to a shop and got it to be driveable. then i switched my water pump, timing belt, and thermostat.
now vtec wont kick in it gets to 5k or 5.5k and it stops reving it kind of tugs.also my temp inside the car works when it wants to sometimes it goes up and sometimes it goes down.
i went to get my codes read and i cant figure out what they are, i already searched for them.\
po118..aaect sensor 1 circuit high voltage
po141.secondary ho2s12(heated oxygen sensor
po453...aaftp sensor circuit high voltage
p1337...aacsf sensor no signal
p0450.. nothing popped up for this one..

if someone can tell me about a website that can probably have these codes i would greatly appreciate it..

is the engine OBD1 or 2? seems to me you put a OBD1 engine into a OBD2 car and didnt take note of all the extra sensors for OBD2

The guy I bought the motor from said it was obd2..
It has a y8 ecu and I'm guessin obd2 harness..
Idk if I can name the shop I went to.. but they told me it looked like it was obd1 converted to obd2..
When I got my car back from the shop it was hittin vtec and everythin was fine I jus needed a new water pump, timing belt and thermostat.I went somewhere else and got that done then vtec stopd workin I also found a loose plug behind my intake mani and I plugd it up and vtec kickd in one time and also started idling a lil.. now it jus gets to 5k or 55k and it stops revving it just tugs..

well first of all, you can till if its obd by looking at the vtec solenoid. obd1 has 1, obd2 has 2 due to its dual stage vtec.
what motor did you get these parts from? parts i suggest would be off a 93-95 civic vx. timming belt/water pump/ thermo/ etc. i just got my done.

referring to above, if it was obd1, wrong ecu first of all. you need atleast a p28.
double check wiring if you had to wire in vtec.

if it was obd2, check your ecu, could have burnt something inside, try swaping it out with a friend.

did you have any cell before the trouble?

oh and for feature preference, alternator would be off a z6 if obd1, y8 if obd2. speed sensor would be same guild line.
cams would be off z6 with adjustable cam gear.

sounds like they didnt plug the sensor in at the crank, since your motor was converted to obd2 even though its an obd1 swap.

He may not know, but since I made it run better the first time I know.

And obviously if he is giving you P codes its from an OBD2 code reader.
