so as i look back at the last 17 years of me drinkin heavily almost on a daily basis , i realized that i do have a problem , i have no "off" switch , i cant just have one drink , it always results in black outs or my horrible behavior in public (Tunerfest), there is no fun in that , so heres to my new name and 3 weeks sober :yay:

You can drink, but know your limit. If you don't know your limit drink 1-2 beers just for the thirst.

Dude, he doesn't need terrible drinking advice from someone who isn't legally allowed to drink yet. There are many people out there that have trouble staying within their limit, no matter their intentions. That is when you give up drinking.

I'm 21, what are you talking about. It's sad to see people drink to the point where they pass out, really stupid, especially when it's a grown ass man. No, none of them have problems staying within their limits, all of them just choose to abuse alcohol till their body can't take it anymore. People that usually abuse alcohol either have personal problems at home and choose alcohol to escape it for a moment, or some disorder that thrives them to drink. It's easy to say No after 2 or 3 beers if you have a fully functional brain.

I was going by the age it says you are under your join date. Thanks for the info, though, Dr. Drew. I didn't know you were an expert on alcohol dependence. He says that he has trouble stopping after one or two drinks, so he is doing the right thing by not drinking anymore. It is absolutely moronic and irresponsible to advise someone who is quitting drinking to go drink.

No, it means you have a drinking disorder. And my post was not directed at you, I was speaking out of my ass in general.

One of my co-workers just lost her husband of many years to alcoholism about a month ago. He drank throughout the day every day for years. His brain eventually started shrinking to a detrimental point. Keep it going Scotsman. Let your little one be even more motivation.
