Ok, so my set up is a b20 swap w/y1 cable trans in my 91 da teg. My pressure plate and throwout bearing went out so I got to get a new kit like asap as this car is my daily driver. I know I should go through Honda but I need to hopefully fix this tomorrow so I can get to work on mon. so autozone parts will have to for now. So my question is this, since the y1 is a jdm trans and I'm not gonna find a clutch kit for it at autozone, will a kit for a ys1 trans work or a kit for another trans work?? If so which one? If not I'll go through Honda to get the correct one but I gotta ask cause I got know clue. Thanks for input!!

any cable b series clutch kit will work . Hell every b series clucth period may work but im sure all cable tranys run the same clutch just ask for a 93 da integra clutch or something close to that . Im a h series man but im trying to help .

No all B-Series transmission don't use the same clutch kit.

90-91 cable are small spline

92+ are bigger spline.

92-93 clutch kit is different than 94+ hydro b series.

Y1 is a small spline b series cable. order for a 1990 or 1991 Integra.

Your Y1 has a Gold Sticker with black letters/numbers right ? If so, then a clutch kit from a 90-91 integra will work.

Correct on the clutch info. The only difference between the 92-93 clutch kit and the 94+ is the throw out bearing style but the 90-91 definitely has the smaller spline type.

Yeah, I just went and got it. A 91 kit will work just fine. Got one more question though, are axle seals all the same or trans specific like the kit? Just curious if it matters. Gonna have to get them from napa tomorrow since autozone says they can't get them

So I just finished swapping out the clutch and now I can't get my trans to go in any gear when the car is on. When the car is off u can hear it go in all the gears. What is the problem now??

Like i stated up stop check and see if your clutch rid is moving to disengage clutch be fore you buy a clutch lol could be as simple as your clutch cable broke . Is the shift rod moving ?

Did you put the disc on backward? I know it doesn't look like it can be done but people do it? Also as stated check on the cable tension or if its even mounted.

^^^ I hope I didn't put it on backwards but I'm probably gonna have to take everything back apart and check :( I'm gonna get a new cable first cause the one I got ain't the greatest. But if it Is backwards, would it still let me put it in gear when the car is off??

Ok so i took everything apart and the clutch was put in right. I've been told it's a trans problem. Wanted to get more opinions. What could it be?

i have a similar problem with my car. my trany wont go into 1, 2, 4, 5 or reverse. 3 is the only gear it will go in. let me know if you have the same problem. if so did you fix it?
