Another one bites the dust.

The car is a 1998 Acura Integra Type-R, number 725. It was mostly stock with only a Cusco rear sway bar, J's Racing valve cover and strut tower bar, Mugen Racing II steering wheel, Toda valve springs, and an ARC titanium shift knob.

Stolen in Atlanta last Sunday morning at 3:00am. It was inside an apartment complex near the intersection on Monroe and Piedmont Ave. A guy was seen with the hood open trying to shut off the alarm. He told a witness, "This is my friends car. He's drunk inside his apartment looking for his keys. I'm just trying to help him get it started." The witness bought the story and didn't call the police.

The witness got a good look at the guy and could ID him if need be.

So keep an eye out for any sketchy parts/people please.

Thieves really are the scum of the earth. I wish I was the person that the thief sold his story to, and not the oblivious witness. It's kind of mind blowing that no one called the police in a crowded apartment at 3am. I was told the alarm was going off for about 30 mins. Such a crappy feeling...

DAMMMN. Any photos of the car?

Ask the witness to draw a sketch of the suspect, that may help

It being a R i assume it won't be stripped but instead re VIN'd and sold for a profit.

Yeah but when they are bought and sold and bought and sold and have more than 1 owner usually the new owner will not immediately activate lojack or might never activate it ever... and no it was an option from the dealer to have it installed or activated

agreed ! but it's an option that is being giving to the very first owner ! not ever ITR has low-jack, matter of fact...I bet 1 out of every 4 ITR out there dont have it.

"Getting out of hand?" Have you been in a mine shaft in Chile for the last decade? It's been "out of hand" for at least that long.

I agree. The police should put everything else they have to do away and post up beside every single modified car in every single parking lot and wait for it to get stolen. Damn, I think you may have just struck gold with this plan, Miner 49er. Later, QD.

Absolutely right! Police should stop pursuing murders and child molesters and focus more on our rides.......

OR.....we could just secure our own shit.

Not a big fan of Hondas but I'll take a Civic SI/Integra GSR/ITR any day. You have to take more precautions when you own a ITR. There is no way mine would be parked outside. Did you not have killswitches? I hope they find your ride, but now might be the time to switch to Mazdas. Nobody wants Mazdas.
