Like the post says, I acquired a 00' Em1 but it has a OBD2 B18B in it, however the previous owner left the stock B16A2 ECU in it, so of course the CEL is on, also around 5200 RPM the car trys to bog like its getting too much fuel. Is this a cause of the factory ECU trying to compensate for Vtec and adding more fuel? If this is the case could I simply install a Vtec controller and adjust the vtec to not kick in until say, 9500 RPM and this fix my issue until I get another ECU? Or is the stalling sound like a entire other issue all together. Any input would be great as I havent encountered a problem like this before,
Thanks Guys

that wont help. youre wasting your time. there is a lot more then just vtec. get the right ecu they are a dime a dozen.

dont rev past 5 until you have the proper ecu, doing so may result in engine malfunction or damage.

Yea im shifting very low atm because of that. Not sure what the previous owner did but I have been babying it since Ive gotten it. Seems to be a solid car but need to try and get this ecu worked out quickly. Thanks for the input too guys
