View Full Version : Missing Center Caps? This Worked For Me and Inexpensive

This info is not model specific and will work on many wheels.

The picture below is a 16" rota slipstream on a del sol.
I didn't prefer the look of no center caps and axle nuts showing so looked for
cost efficient solutions.

I found that you can buy "knock out plugs" of different sizes at your local hardware store (Lowes-Home Depot)
in the electrical section. Ask for assistance if you can't find them, they are there.

1- measure the diameter of center hole of your wheel
2- take your measuring device with you to the store to make sure you're getting the appropriate size.
The back of the plug has many tabs which will hold them in place on your wheel.

For instance, if you have a 2 1/2" hole in the wheel a 2" knock out plug would be appropriate. That's why I say bring your tape with you to make sure.

You can paint them or whatever. I just left mine the way they were out of the package.

4 plugs will cost you about 4 dollars and some change!
