have anybody use mobil 1fluid in their transmission. Pro or cons on using this beside using the Honda ATF.

as long as you get the GL-4 Mobil 1... the GL-5 stuff decreases synchro life, from what i've researched. however, it is a very thick oil and may cause notchy or hard shifting when cold...

i personally am using and loving the Redline MT90. really helped out with a 3rd gear grind i was having in my car...

factory Honda is always good for daily use.

motor oil is last resort, and should be avoided...

yes, it is too thick and does not have the proper friction coefficient, especially in a worn out transmission...

Redline MT90 ftw.

summit racing sells it, as do most race shops.

auto parts stores don't sell it. just google redline, and look on their website for dealers.

im running motor oil in my gsr for right now since i didnt have enough for honda trans oil lol

oh i will when i can afford the good stuff. i honestly didnt know just usng oil will mess up things until i researched for a lil bit. but imma try that redline stuff asap
