so my brake lights wont turn off at all... i've tried pulling fuses and everything but they're staying on. i read something about a brake light switch might be going bad? and ideas on quick fixes or what i can do to disable the lights overnights? comments are much appreciated. (car is a '95 integra gsr)

unplug your Battery every night..

My friend has one of these problems.. It comes and goes.. WE still havent quite figured it out yet...

brake light switch is stuck, look behind the brake pedal all the way up to where it bolts, there should be a button like or a switch on the brake pedal rod.. it is prob stuck.. my friends sentra was doing the same thing.

^ Yep.. Unplug it also.. See if that will solve anything.. If so... Purchase a New switch

i guarantee you, the plastic piece broke off the pedal where it contacts the switch so it's not pressing the switch when you let off the brake pedal to turn the lights off.

FYI if the switch was stuck then the lights wouldn't come on, its a press to open switch.

its a little ghetto, but i have superglued pennys or whatever coin stacks to be the right thickness to the bracket in place of the plastic thing on probrably 10 cars.. and it holds fine! why do they put a stinkin plasic peice there? why even punch a hole there, just leave it steel? all car manufacturers do this!
