help misfire

i have a D16 the motor has a cylinder #4 misfire whats the best thing to do fix the misfire or have the head replace?? misfire could be bent valve

misfire could also be a simple fouled spark plug, bad plug wire, or a fried dizzy cap or button...

do a tune up on the car, inspect everything, and see if it clears up.

if not, could be an injector...

pulling the head is the last resort, unless you know you jumped time and bent a valve...

in response to your PM:

low compression can cause a misfrire. do another compression test - check it "dry", then add about a half ounce (just a little pour) of engie oil to the low cylinder. if the compression goes up considerably, it is bad rings. if it stays the same, it is likely a valve issue, and the head needs to come off.
