anyone know a good shop to get a front mount installed on my fd. I know there is some fabrication required due to the slanted radiator...

You can do it yourself if you have a welder to make the brackets for mounting it.
You can buy mandrel bends from Buster out at Grand Muffler.
Depending on your piping, you may need to move your battery to the back. Moroso makes a decent kit for that.
You can buy the silicone tubing from Barnet.

Turbo Dave! Ive seen some of his work and it rocks... not to mention I can give you a ride back home if you bring it to him. If you remember he is the guy with the shop out off I-20... The same one where that Eric guy worked out of... the one that sold me a turbo timer and NEVER GOT IT TO ME... seriosly if you go out there let me know because I have to get that thing from him... he is still in the area. You were there when I paid for it... your a good witness... even if you dont get turbo dave to do your car I need ya to come out there with me somtime if you dont mind. Anyways dude Ill catch ya later. Sorry for the highjack

Buy a 120 dollar relocation kit? Are you serious? Buy a battery box and some terminals from walmart and cable from a stereo shop. 20 bucks. Ive done it on 3 cars and it always passes tech inspections.

Well, it's easy for me just to buy the wire and terminals and do it myself - I used to have a shop. But everytime I say that, everyone tells me they want a kit. Well, Moroso makes the kit complete. $90 from Summit last I checked, but it's all one kit. Easy for even a non-technical person. No, I wouldn't pay it myself.

Is your FMIC a kit or just the core? MOST kits come with brackets and relocation parts. You'll need to relocate/swap your power steering line along with your radiator position to up-right vise slanted which is a easy project and only requires a few mounting brackets.

I'd say at the most with all the things you need, you could easily do this yourself in less than 1 day having never done it before.
An experienced person could do it in a few hours easy

Good move, When I put my FMIC on I didn't have time to relocate the battery so I ended up having to rig my battery so it would fit in with the FMIC.... needless to say I ended up with a messed up radiator fan later on, hahaha.

If you still need the intercooler installed, then give me a call. I take extra care of Rotary powered cars....especially the FD (I used to have one myself).

I still need to catch a ride in your FD, or even go for a quick run next time I'm down in PTC.
