yesterday i was driving my car and when i hit WOT the car started to die. well it ran fine for a while and on the next start up when i tried to go it seemed like the car snuffed itself out. I had to rev it high to get the car home and not stop. Well i have checked the throttle cable and it seems fine, but when i adjusted it it seemed to make the problem almost go away. It only snuff's out when i floor it but if i don't it revs normally. I have a 99 civic si with a b16a in it and am baffled at this. I am not throwing any check engine lights so i have no idea where to start. i did notice once when the car died that fuel burn actually came out of the intake when this happened. Reps to all with good answers,

It could be a bad MAP sensor, bad TPS, out of time (jumped timing), wiring issue.... man thats goin be a little hard over the internet.
EDIT: I couldnt play your video, so I have to just guess.

video couldnt hear much. but i think he should check vacuum on the manifold and pressure at exhaust. faulty map/tps should* give him a CEL. but the thing might have jumped timing.

i was told to clean the map sensor, but with what, electrical parts cleaner. i will see if i can get the video up better. it's very tempermental, like it drives fine but un der certain circumstances it does this. idles perfect too. if it jumped time it would make a racket the whole time you had it turned on and wouldn't hit VTEC.

i think it may have jumped a tooth on the timing belt. when i saw smoke from the intake that was a give away that the valves were not closed.

it was a cheap rotor on the dizzy and button, had no screw and that was the cause, no jumped belt thank god but that was my first thought.
