I was unsure where a good place for this thread would be on this forum. I see the rules says this section is only for User here, but it seemed like the only category this would fit. Mods please move this to an appropriate section if this isn't it. Thanks.

Also, please relay this message to other car forums lipkit.ca makes kits for if you're a part of them. Thanks.

***Mods, please move this to wherever you believe it will get the most attention***

I am looking for anyone and everyone who has ever dealt with with lipkit.ca, a.k.a Dynamic Auto Designs, and on eBay known as srtautostyle. Let me have your attention.

They sell an 04-06 Nismo Replica front and rear lip kit/chin spoiler. They use actual Nismo products in their descriptive picture (I'm almost sure without consent). [Since this is an atlanta based forum, they also sell kits for a lot of imports. Acura, Honda, mazda, mitsubishi, nissan, toyota, ford, chrystler, chevy, VW, BMW, Audi, and Lexus. I would be weary of these as well.]

I ordered a set because my car had to go in for accident repairs and had always heard the only way to install this kit was with a shop because of bad fitment. The shop I took it to works with a lot of body kits and imports, they said it wouldn't be a problem for them if I brought it in. But now they are calling me saying the rear fitment is so poor, it would be impossible to get on the car, and they said the front might be possible with extensive work and modification to my brand new OEM bumper.

I have only seen one success story so far (BrianRichie) of this kit installed. I researched after I found out the shop said they couldn't do it, and found a few people who weren't able to get it on either. had it sitting around because there was nothing they could do with it.

I also found out they were impossible to get to reply to an email. Well I sent a message to every email listed on their website, their ebay store, and finally as a last resort, opened a "Significantly Not as Described dispute" with paypal. Their website states "Easy to install" and "good fitment" which is already way off from the actual product. And after the dispute, low and behold, a reply! Lol

If you have ordered one of these kits, let me know what happened with you so I can use it toward my dispute and lets get companies like this out of business. Spread it around other forums. I will be posting updates on the forums I frequent as well. Feel free to email me about any of this [email protected]
-Sammy

I just checked my credit car balance today, and I had a refund of $288.00 Success!
So if you go through the thread, you'll see some of what I went through to try and talk to the company about their poor fitment.

This thread is to make you aware that this lip kit really isn't worth it. SOME guys have had success, but it's really a hit or miss, and even then it's not totally up to par.

--------------------------------------------------EDIT--------------------------------------------

DAD is now seeking for me to send the item back, 2nd contact they have made with me since Aug. 17th, and I received a refund about 12 days prior to there contact. Luckily I still have it, but it should have been sent with the garbage man the day after the refund.

My first email, which I sent to all their emails:
from ME to DAD
"I recently ordered a lip kit (front and rear) from you guys for my Sentra. My car is at the body shop for repairs, they work on a lot of aftermarket body stuff so I figured it would be a good place. So I took the lips in when I received them, and I got a call from the shop this morning. They are trying to install them and are saying there is no way the rear lip is going to fit at all, and the front he might be able to work on, but he doesn't even know.

What can I do at this point? Can I be refunded for the parts, return them, or something?

Here is the order info.

Blah blah, order info and all that............."

Their reply, which they did not send through the paypal dispute:
-Dynamic Auto Designs (know as DAD from now on):
"Hi Samuel, I'm sorry to hear you are having some issues with the installation. I personally inspected this kit myself before sending it out and there isn't any clear reason as to why a qualified body shop should not be able to install it.

We have sold this kit to a lot of customers, the right person with experience should be able to install it.
Here are a couple of photos that one of our past customers had sent us after installation of our kit.

From ME to DAD
"Hey, thanks for the reply.
The pictures you sent are not showing, but I'm assuming it's a light blue, almost teal color, Sentra? I have spoken with the owner before about the lip kit, and he went through some very very extensive work to get them on and to fit. The owner of the blue Sentra is the only successful story I have found of fitting your kit on the car.

I can think off the top of my head about 3 other Sentra owners who have the rear lip sitting in their home because it was impossible to fit on (I found this out after the shop said it was impossible to get on through some research). I'm unsure why they never attempted to dispute it with you guys, but I cannot afford to have my $288 go to the garbage.

The people working at the shop have been installing body kits/ground kits/lip kits for some time. I have seen most of their cars, and they have done a superb job installing their own, so I have some doubt believing they wouldn't know how to get one on.

Maybe this was a defective kit (although you looked it over before sending it out, something is definitely wrong with it), or as it seems to be more common, this kit is molded very poorly.

I am still looking for a refund. If we can keep the messages through the paypal dispute, that would be preferred. Thanks,
-Sammy

Picked up the car today (God it feels good to drive my car again) and talked to the body guy at the shop. He says the problem is that the fiberglass wont mold to the bumper, it bends, but wont hold a new shape.

The front lip's issue is with the curves on the side of the bumper. The lip it shaped pretty boxy, as a result (sorry the sun was facing me and hard to see)...

Note that the front lip is not sitting entirely up against the front bumper, but it's obvious if I pushed it up against it there will still be some serious gappage.

Now for the rear I had it tight and flush on the sides, and in the middle of the bumper, I found the perfect size boxes to hold it up! But the gap is even worse...

Believe it or not, I put my hand in the hole for reference only. It's not actually resting on the lip to "hold it down"

So I sent them all my pics, and every persons testimony I have gotten about my kit. I also got word from SpecVengance who bought Willies kit on TSVB. Willie was selling it because it would have been WAY to much work to get on, so SpecVengance bought it and took it to a shop to see what they could do, and they basically refused to take the job. Lol. I'll post all my arguments and such later, if they ever reply.

I have the dispute going through paypal, but just called my CC I paid with. They were able to provide me with a phone number. I just googled it though... It's just paypals number. Lol. So I'm going to up it to a claim.
Wish me luck.

Well that was fast...

"Our investigation into your claim is complete. As stated in our User
Agreement, the claims process only applies to the shipment of goods. It
does not apply to complaints about the attributes or quality of goods
received. Therefore, we are unable to reverse this transaction or issue a
refund."

Idk why they have the option to dispute a claim that is not as described if the claims process only applies to the shipment of goods. Lol.

Now to the Credit Card! I need to wait 7 days to recieve a form and fill it out. Hopefully this will be more productive.

Overall I have 5 testimonies from other people who had near impossible, to terribly bad fitment even with a lot of work.

I have one (maybe more now) of someone with the kit that said his was no where near as out of whack as mine was.

As you can see, the paypal claim did not go in my favor because apparently paypal doesn't deal with claims that aren't related to not receiving the item. I am still currently awaiting a form to fill out from my CC to see if a refund is possible through them.

All in all, this is a shady company. They still will not reply to my emails. If you could post this along some of the other Sentra forums I'm not on, we can go a long way in stopping BS companies like this.

I personally would like to start going through the list of kits they make and joining those car forums and posting my experience with them. I want them gone, and I told them if they didn't help me out with resolving the issue, I would take every effort to get them out of business. IF YOU'RE ON ANY OTHER FORUMS FOR A CAR THAT THEY MAKE A KIT FOR, RELAY THE INFO IN THIS THREAD

I sent out all my case, arguments, testimonies, and e-mails to and from DAD to my CC, along with a note from the body shop. My CC requires me to return the item before receiving a refund, but they will see I have had no response from them.

I wont ship it back without knowing I will get a refund before hand. I don't want to be stuck without the piece of trash and no money. Lol.

So here we go for another round of updates. Believe it or not, someone is actually sitting on the other end of the [email protected] email reading what I send, and actually following this thread :P

From ME to DAD
"Hello to whomever reads these and never replies,
No doubt you are familiar with me by now, I used to send you guys a few emails a week (or messages through paypals claim) with no response. It appears paypal only deals with items "not received," which really didn't help me out anymore than you guys had already done (sarcasm?).

I NOW (it's been like what, almost 2 months since I have been asking if I can send this kit back for a refund?) get notified by paypal that you request I send back the items. I would love to send them back (honestly I wouldn't, I don't want to see this garbage sold to anyone else), but there is no way I'm spending $80+ out of my pocket to return something you guys screwed up on (if it was my fault, I would be more than glad to do so). I'm really sick and tired of sending out these emails, and giving your company the opportunity to redeem your poor customer service, with no response.

If you guys can give me a call, we can resolve this much quicker... And I'm all for it because I'm really tired of dealing with it, and this kit is taking up space in my garbage can.
Thanks for your time, hope to hear from you,

-Sammy Benitez
***.***.****"

DAD RESPONDS! (2nd email since Aug. 17th. Lol)
"Thanks so much for the opportunity to let us redeem our customer service, we appreciate your "stay away" thread which was actually submitted only a day after you sent us the first email regarding your dissatisfaction, you barely gave us any time to help you out. Honestly, I am sorry you are not happy with the product and are having to incur any fees but the return policy stands regardless of the reason and it is on two different pages of our website, also, you went ahead and painted the front which I am already disregarding but could have disputed based on that fact that parts must be returned in original condition. "

And from ME to DAD
"Hey, thanks for the reply!
I sent you guys an email, and opened a claim. I then I started the thread after your first reply.
I originally intended for the thread to be a warning to other Sentra owners about the fitment of some of the kits/get feedback from other customers for my claim.
Any replies after that from you guys would have surely been included in the thread as I was just keeping the Sentra community informed on the status of my claim, which could have turned the thread around and cleared a lot of shady beliefs the Sentra community had of your company prior to my thread.

I did read the return policy, but even in this case nothing can be done? I had been waiting for this opportunity to send it back for a refund back in August/September, and never had the opportunity. I was then refunded on Sept. 20th by my Credit Card, and was under the impression this was a done deal. I didn't get an email from paypal of your request for a return until Oct. 2nd. I could have thrown this away by now.

I didn't really have a say in the paint on the lip, the shop did that, but thank you for disregarding it.

Let me know what you guys finally decide, sooner than later preferably, so I know what actions to take.
-Sammy"

and last but not least, here are some links to the threads I have started on a few of the Sentra forums. This has a lot of Q&A between me and other members that were not copied and pasted on all the forums I'm spreading this to that I'm a part of. Just if you want to read up about what has happened to others/see what others have said.

Wow the fitment on that was WAY off. At first I thought perhaps if it was urethane maybe it needs time to unfold itself until I saw the huge gap for the rear. Thanks for the heads up. I usually order straight from the maker them selves like Stillen/Nissan saves the headache! :D See you at the meet!

Eh, the kit is made of "flexible fiberglass." DAD is now asking if I can try to find another shop that can do the job. Lol. Can anyone recommend a place to try and get the front to fit at least? Someone recommended asking "Pro Import Service" in Conyers, which is a bit of a way for me, but if all fails I may check it out.

saw your car today i think man. looked good. you dont need a garbage kit on it like that. just from looking at it i assume the sides are lined up pretty close. no wonder a shop wouldnt mess with it.

Yeah, I was getting read to leave in a bit when I saw that G20 roll in (which looks pretty clean :) )

I wish there was a legit kit for my car, but they have been long discontinued.
