what can you safely rev a built b20 with a b16 head?

Please define built. If you're not upgrading the rod bolts, keep it under 7500.

okay... IMO... if you are going to build a b20 block you should sleeve it and at least run rod bolts... even better forged rods... if you have all 3 then I don't see why you can't rev it to 9k (of course if your head can handle it.)

my build, forged rods and pistons. rods will have the arp 2000 bolts.

you should be able to rev to where you make power safely... Problem I see is your week stock sleeves... rev to where you make power but always have in mind you can crack a sleeve.

i always keep mine around 6200. u kno 7500 once in a while not allll the time is fine too.

you should be able to rev the motor if balance and put together and able to breathe correctly easy 9200+
