It wont hit with a code 22 If I rember correctly its the oil pressure sensor near the solenoid.

it popped up but it went away. i individually unplugged the solenoid (cel came on) plugged it back up and tried the pressure switch, (cel came on) plugged it back up. no vtak.
if either the vtec solenoid or the pressure switch is bad, will it throw a cel?

Well yeah it will throw a code. Give Mainstream a buzz and ask them about it.

If the CEL is on for 21 or 22..

you have a Vtec malfunction.. Either the Solenoid or Pressure switch..

You can also BYPASS the pressure switch if that is the problem

i just had a problem similar, in my case i changed the solenoid, thicker oil and a bunch of other regular stuff, but, it happen to be the oil screen on the oil pan, it was clogged up so i was not getting enough oil pressure...

Dude, I told you that its the switch, or lack of pressure. and you can either A get a new one or B jump the wires accordingly and or let me turn off the option in the chipped ecu and see if it works.

Also if it is something with the wiring (even though I triple checked, I would be more than happy to fix it free of charge)
