MIKE JAWNS!!!!
Met up with h22 jones yesterday at mainstream as we were both coming from macon to get a retune. So i got a pull or 2 on video for him. If you know what his car has made before then you know its a very nice/well planned out setup. I am not at liberty to say numbers but they are coming harder this fall. Also this is actually his fathers car who DD's it and gets 30+mpg. Enjoy.

its not a 500hp turboed car by know means but it pulls good for what it is thanks. Its kind of nice to own a car that you painted , built the motor well did everything to it by hand that is done . Me and my dad have alot of time in it i guess thats why its so hard to get started on the new hatch. I hate starting over i tried to get him to just let me build my new motor and put it in his hatch lol but he wants to drive this one everyday and get good gas mileage . I dont think my new motor will be as gas friendly lol.

It completely lost its tune about 6 months ago and has been running rich as hell every since . I mean it hits 10.0 on the wide band at wide open throttle. I am just glad to have it running right again . I just dont understand how a car can just lose a tune with out doing anything to it . All the compression numbers are the same if not a little higher . It stills pulls 23 pounds of vacuum so the motor is in great shape . The lowest i ever see the oil pressure is 21 pounds and now its running great but for no reason at all it just lost its tune that just dont make sence to me.

It happens like that sometimes. Some people will blame the tuner, even when it is not their fault. Sometimes things change and affect the tune. Glad you got it fixed up and cant wait to see that beast at Showdown!

Not to thread jack or anything. Heres a video of mine from about 2 years ago. Motor spun a rod bearing later that day. Built back stronger and makes more power now. Put down 535whp and 396wtq on 19psi and pump gas. Full-Race top mount 35r, stock bore 1.8L. No port work on the head.

Yeah scotty tuned my old teg back in the day. The one in my avatar. Ran good. Pistons, rods, block guard, bone stock head, and 60 trim put down 434whp on pump. Daily drove it for over a year.

nah, when we got ready to turn the boost up, wastegate was already around 16-17psi and no matter what we did it would go above 20psi and scotty didnt want to go over 20psi due to my compression and pumpgas. Might keep it for later on when i get a bigger turbo or sell it for now.

Yea I have been getting mixed opinions about my switch, I think I mad the right decision for me. I find that the mustang is faster than my rsx-s low end and top end. I ran a 14.3 in my rsx-s, I found a time slip in the car that I think the car ran but I'm not for sure, so I will not post it..... The stock times for this car is a 14.4, I'm pretty sure its a mid 13s on motor with whats done to it now, but I'm going to take it to the track and find out so all of what I'm saying is unofficial. We can run I make no excuses but I will be on the bottle, I dont care about all motor no more lol
I do plan on running nitrous on it and putting a 4.10 in it but know one will no when I do it.

I walked out side and took a picture of the hatch in the driveway . It has mirrors on it now and i replaced them ugly marker lights lol. The other picture was right after i painted it i didnt have it put back together all the way then . Is that better joey you happy now lol.

his car with him driving, no offense houston, no launch experience, will run high 14s all stock so with general bolt ons like mid to low 14s depending on gearing

This is just a project car that I'm going to committ to and stick with for a while so, its only gonna get better with time. Even researching a possible lightning swap.....
I'm a pretty decent driver at the track 1st time I went to the track with my rsx-s times were 14.9( terrible I know) as you guys can see in the videos, after my 3rd time at the track in two months I got it down to a 14.3 at 100mph

He ran 14.7 with 3.73's, intake, and exhuast...he did have horrible 60's but even with a good 60 that car wouldnt have gon faster that 14.4's without being on a sticky tire. I look forward to see you run this car though. 2v motors can be built up into stout motors.

yea i was just throwin those up there lol and yea gotta stick with the rustang projects for a while look at mine took a year but now i have one of the quickest mustangs around my area :) and on that lightning swap you wount like the price but it would be nasty also you either need a huge cowl hood or cut a hole in the hood for the blower :ninja:

see more backing lol the 2vs were not so hot off the floor, they can be made sick but you dont see many over 400 whp na 4v is another story lol, also NOS is for little girls who cant handle boost :taun:

There is a article in the new mm&ff mag that has a 2v build. They took a high mileage 97 gt non PI 4.6 and on an engine dyno made 266/341 with hooker l/t's, elec. water pump, & FAST engine managment. The numbers are high for that motor but it also had no accessories, no transmission, no exhuast, and no restricted intake....by the time you add all that you would have the real world dyno numbers (215ish/270ish). Anyways, they bolted on some cnc ported PI heads, comp cams, PI intake manifold, and an accufab tb and elbow on the stock short block and made 390/384.....still on the same engine dyno with the same restrictions or lack there-of. Take into account drive train loss of 20% (just a guess) and you get real world numbers of 312/308.....thats a strong 2v considering how it started!

Yeah, she is a work in progress and I do plan on running nitrous, she is gonna be getting ready over the winter, and I do plan on getting longtubes+ upr off road xpipe with the weld in Magnaflows I already got, also 4.10

You should always do it all at once but I rarely have. I have h&r supersports on stock tokico shocks and untill I took the iso's out it didnt ride that bad. to give you an idea of how low my car is, I can fit one finger between the fender and the tire on the front and 2 fingers between the tire and 1/4 panel in the back...kinda like the shocker!

its ok houston mine is convertible too :( wish it was a hard top but you cant always get what you want, i got a manly motor to compensate for the slight gayness of convertible lol but teh women love convertibles ;)

Chris, just cut the springs 'til you save up for some coilovers. I rode on cut springs for a few months in my SN95.

4x4 status my friend its what the mustang community has on lock lol the only exception is the non gt packages such as cobra mach 1 and cobra R...i need to get moar lower also :(

even with the mach 1 being 3/4 of an inch lower than a gt mine was still 4x4 status!...there is no excuse for what ford did with ride height on stangs!
