I almost forgot about that one. Ryan Clark is a beast.

No he's not. These guys are just running around throwing their bodies into people now. That's why so many people are getting hurt. The whole "tackling" with the shoulder has become the new in thing and it's really bad technique. When they throw their bodies forward even when they use a lot of shoulder they can't help but to make contact with the other player's head. There is a time and place for using the body or shoulder tackle, but for the most part players are using it to make the big hit. If you want to see some textbook big hit tackling check out some Brian Dawkins clips.

I'm pretty sure he is, thanks, though.

BTW, I checked out some Brian Dawkins clips. He is guilty of every single offense that Ryan Clark or any other defensive player commits. There were plenty of shoulder tackles that he committed. You could make tons of videos of Ryan Clark, James Harrison, Ray Lewis or any NFL hard-hitting defensive player performing textbook tackles. I am sorry, but I see past your team bias.

Football has always been a hard-hitting sport. Big hits force fumbles, big hits make receivers scared to catch the ball in the middle, big hits change the game and are an integral part of a successful defense.

I have no team bias. I will agree that the other players make some of those same tackles, but I can't remember the last time I've seen Clark wrap up and tackle someone. Like I said, there is a time and place for the shoulder hit, but when you're consistently launching yourself in the air to make a hit that is not a good thing. It's like the hit they show him putting on Wes Welker, that was way over the top. He could have easily delivered the same hit by just tackling through him, but he chose to turn his shoulders. The one he had on Willis McGahee was probably the worst example because he ended up injuring himself as well McGahee having to getting carted off the field with a severe concussion.
