It's just to put the car in a forward or reverse gear. The car has paddle shifters but there is also a clutch, you have to use the clutch to get moving but you can opt to shift without the clutch or with. Shifting without the clutch means a transmission rebuild in under 1000 miles. It's a true 100% race gearbox.

I don't know the outcome. But who cares? lol If you spend that much on a car replacing parts shouldn't be an issue. It uses race parts, not reliable street parts.

Not bashing your opinion but how is it overdone? You're looking at function not a car built to look good. Function just usually looks exotic and pretty to many.
